A member based organisation of Medical Practitioners, Dentists, Allied Health Professionals, Medical Students and International Medical Graduates in Adelaide, South Australia. We are interested in the Indian subcontinent and share our love of South Australia. We strive to build a successful community of excellent professionals who are happily settled here, exuding deep-rooted secular beliefs. A large number of our members have established their homes, families and careers here in Adelaide and some work and live in rural and remote areas. We want healthy competition and equal opportunity for all our members. SAIMA has grown from humble beginnings of a small group of Medical Professionals from an Indian background, to a large, vibrant community of health professionals. We encourage all health professionals to become members, and contribute towards building healthy communities.

SAIMA Educational and Social Events
SAIMA holds a number of educational, social or sporting events throughout the year. These include Continued Medical Education (CME) activities for our members, annual cricket matches with other medical associations and Medical Student orientated events (Lectures and specialty presentations). SAIMA are also involved in a Joint Educational Program designed specifically for International Medical Graduates (IMG’s).

SAIMA Sponsorship & Charities
We offer sponsorship opportunities to be involved in one or several of our events. Sponsors can choose from various options and discuss individual requirements to suit both parties. Our annual Gala Dinner attracts 400 guests, with the majority of the audience being Professionals from the medical field (Doctors and other allied health practitioners) and representatives from within the medical industry (Hospitals, Radiology, Pathology etc.)
Each year the Gala Dinner supports a charitable cause. Previous charities include APLI (Australasian Palliative link International), Eye Play Sport (Blind Sporting Council), Maranatha Health and Doctors for the Environment (DEA). Feedback received from the charities involved is that the dinner is a wonderful opportunity to raise both awareness and funds.
